Style focused, sex-driven rock versions of The Everly Brothers. That’s the best way I can describe the Raveonettes. Most of you are probably already big fans – in which case, you understand what I’m trying to explain here. Confused? Check them out, you wont be disappointed. The Raveonettes & Tamaryn will be playing at Emo’s on Tuesday, April 12th.
For those of you who are already fans, surely you’re pleased with The Raveonettes return to the dirty sound with vocals that came straight out of the 1960’s which put them on the map. Their latest album, Raven in the Grave, has just been released as a follow up to 2009’s In and Out of Control, which brings the Danish duo to Austin on the North American leg of their tour.
The elusive Tamaryn and her three piece band will be returning to Austin for the show after a successful SXSW 2011 which left audiences wanting more, possibly becuase she is just so curiously aloof. Often referred to as a “spellbinding” performer, Tamaryn’s dreamy music is nothing short of exactly that.
Emo’s on Tuesday, April 12th. Doors @ 9pm.
