CLUSTERFEST!

When I go to a concert, I don’t want to sit. I don’t want to stand, and I don’t want the lights on. I want to dance my ass off!

If you’re like me and ready for a rollickin’ good time with music that facilitates foot stompin’ and booty shakin’ check out Clusterfest at Southwestern University April 29th!

This year, SWU is welcoming Matt & Kim, Del the Funky Homosapien, Black and White Years, Octopus Project, Bright Light Social Hour, Mexican Institute of Sound and others for what is sure to be the dance party of the week.

Matt & Kim are on a rock ‘n’ ROLL since they started performing together in 2004. Kim picked up the drums as quickly as and with comparable intensity to a younger Meg White, and there are no marriage politics to declaw these cats!

If you’ve heard the Gorillaz’ “Clint Eastwood,” you’ve been wooed by ever smooth Del the Funky Homosapien. A former member of that group, Deltron 3030, and Hieroglyphics and Ice Cube’s younger cousin to boot, Del is hip to the hop, down with the beats, up with the tempo awesome. Hailing from Oakland, he is sure to bring the house down next Friday, or… Friday after next.

Local superstars and Do512 faves the Black and White Years, Octopus Project, Bright Light Social Hour never fail to impress. If you’re looking to bone up on local music you need to hear, THIS IS THE EVENT TO ATTEND!

Perhaps a reaction to the clusterf@*$ that took place during the Texas relays, ClusterFest promises a slightly more controlled craziness. (Amy’s Ice Cream will be there, nuff said.)
