The long (and well worth it) wait is over! Red 7 has finally joined the Do512 family! This means that you can now see all of the shows that go through Red 7 on the Do512 site as well as possibly getting FREE tickets to shindigs like concerts.
Red 7 is located right on the corner of Red River and 7th St; hence their name—clever I must say. Those that run the venue are down to earth and sarcastic yet they’re really awesome because they don’t take anyone’s shizz. Drunken yuppies beware; your money flaunting ways won’t buy you any respect here. But seriously, this place is badass. Red 7 has two parts to it; the lounge area and the outside arena (it isn’t really an arena; I just thought it sounded cool). The lounge area has an old school bar feel; with pool tables, foose ball, super awesome old arcade games, and a photo booth—all of which is free to those who enter. Outside, there’s a huge bar in the back as well as a stage “where the magic happens” AKA rocking your face off. Many different genres are welcome in the venue. I, personally, have seen Flosstradamus, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, and Quest Love—none of which were the same.
Here are some events that I want to go to that you may also want to go to and could get you acquainted with Red 7:
Enjoy the festivities and be relieved that you can now restore your laziness by not having to surf more than one site for what bands are coming to Austin.
