In case you haven’t noticed, Austin is a pretty eclectic city. ATX is populated with famously eclectic people and places that are all apart of the city’s “Keep Austin Weird” charm. As a kid growing up in a world surrounded by generic people and places, I always idolized Austin as the place where all the cool and different and weird (but awesome) stuff was going down. And I’m sure I’m not the only one. (There’s a reason why half my high school flocked to Austin immediately after graduation.) And the bands and shows that flock our city and make it famous are no exceptions. This show coming to Red 7 on April 30th is an exciting gathering of punk and folk sounds and is a prime example of Austin eclecticism at it’s best.
Gathering together the folksy tunes of East Cameron Folkcore and former punk-rocker-turned-folk-singer-songwriter Chuck Ragan, with the punked out sounds of Hello to the Angels and the Sharks…this show is sure to have something for everybody. Whether you’re looking for something a little bit more chill and relaxed, or are looking to jump up and down hysterically…this show has something for you. Do not miss out!
