Magnifico, The New Drugs and Descendents of Erdrick

This will be awesome. If there was ever a night of rocking tribute bands to attend, it would be this one. Magnifico, The New Drugs and Descendents of Erdrick are combining forces Friday the 13th for a killer display of rock and roll and… video game anthems.

Magnifico, Austin’s finest Queen cover band will blow your mind! They actually guarantee it. Here are four solid reasons you don’t want to miss Magnifico:
1. Because you’ll never be able to see Queen perform live.
2. Because Magnifico is incredibly talented and entertaining.
3. Because you can sing (and dance) along with every song.
4. Because their “Freddy Mercury” wears shiny purple bodysuits:

The New Drugs will be YOUR new drug… if you enjoy dancing and/or fun. If you enjoy neither of those, you may have wandered onto the wrong blog. The New Drugs are an energetic Huey Lewis and the News tribute band that will get you moving. Named after one of Huey Lewis’ hit songs in the mid 80s “I Want a New Drug,” they’re way too entertaining to pass up.

Here’s something new: Descendents of Erdrick covers video game songs. Real life renditions of all your favorite and classic video game ballads. They cover everything from Super Mario to Street Fighter 2 to Megaman 3 to Final Fantasy 4; tons of themes you grew up listening to, while kicking some virtual ass. Oh the memories. See what adventures they’ll take you on this Friday as they power through games you love and levels you didn’t even know existed. And they don’t always let you win.

You better have a damn good reason not to be at Red 7 this Friday. Seriously I want to hear it. Check out the event’s page on Do512, click “I like it” and enter to win a pair of free tickets to the show!
