Zoë Keating will be performing what is best described as her one-woman orchestra on Saturday, May 14th at the Central Presbyterian Church.
Never one to leave her audience anything less than stunned, the Canadian-born cellist and composer uses electronic sampling and repetition techniques to create layers of amazing sound. Her critically acclaimed music has made it to the #1 spot of iTunes classical music several times and her 2010 self released album Into The Trees spent a whopping 14 weeks on the Billboard classical charts. Keating has been commissioned to create music for some pretty incredible soundtracks, including Ghostbird, Frozen Angels and The Secret Life of Bees. Don’t miss out on the one-woman orchestra who is being considered a role model for DIY musicians.
