For a full night of electrifying darkwave indie rock, mosey on over to Emo’s tomorrow night (Thursday, June 9) for She Wants Revenge, Nico Vega and Electric Touch. All three bands put on incredible dynamic live performances, perfect for dancing, body thrashing or head nodding. Your choice. California DJ duo and studio wizards, She Wants Revenge creates a post-punk dark synth sound with droll vocals. Think Interpol, Depeche Mode or The Cure. Their awesome music videos tell their songs’ stories:
According to their website (so it must be true) “Nico Vega represents a modern day saint. A warrior that has led [them] to a lighter way of being. She represents people and unity. She fights for all of us and teaches us to fight for each other. She is an idea that has evolved into a message and she fuels us in our bellies.” I’ll believe that. And if you’ve ever seen them perform live, you’d probably describe something similar yourself.
Electric Touch has their own unique brand of ballsy British-American rock. They’re loud and they make a party a party. Austin.com wrote, “How good are they live? Enough that we’re going out on a limb to call Electric Touch the best set of the (ACL) fest.” That kind of statement is no joke. Neither is Electric Touch, just great rock music.
