Move over Jonas Brothers …and Los Lonely Boys …and Hanson …wow there are a lot of trio brother bands out there. Well, anyway, in case you can’t get enough, there’s a new one you should know about: Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel Manzano call themselves Boyce Avenue. The boys formed in Florida in 2004 and are the epitome of a DIY (do it yourself) band. They even have their own record label, 3 Peace Records, on which they will be independently re-releasing their full-length album, All We Have Left, this Fall. Their music is known for its “acoustic roots” and “melodic rock sound.” They began to gain popularity in 2007 after releasing a number of YouTube videos of acoustic covers of some of their favorite radio hits at the time, like Justin Timberlake’s “LoveStoned,” and Rihanna’s “Umbrella” (ella, ella, ella, aye, aye, aye!). And they’re still at it with more recent hits like Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.”
Now, with over 700,000 subscribers to their channel, and over 300,000,000 views, the boys are branching out and releasing their own written and recorded music. Good move boys, especially when touring through Austin, we love originality here. You can catch them tomorrow, September 21 at Antone’s at 8pm.
