Private Events at Abel’s on the Lake

AwkwardFamilyPhotos

Scene: Family birthday gathering circa 2009 – Chaos. Chaos, terror, a packed restaurant causing a gallon of spilled ice water, crying babies (hi baby! So cute baby! Crying oh someone take it baby is cryyying!) salsa on dress and ends with a sweeping declaration that you are running away from your family forever and never coming back.

Happy freaking birthday.

This could have all been avoided with a private room for your family to dodge any and all dining environment chaos at Abel’s on the Lake. See? Look at how tidy this water is being.

With a beautiful view, plenty of room, excellent service and their delicious menu fully available, Abel’s has hosted private events including corporate meetings, engagement parties, networking dinners, sorority formals, chaos free birthdays, fundraisers and more. They can accommodate 20-1150 people in one of their six unique areas including both indoor and outdoor options. Here’s some untouched customer testimonials from those who walked away from their event sans salsa dress:

I just wanted to let you know what a great job Kari and the Abel’s staff did for our retreat! From the coffee service in the morning to lunch and happy hour drinks, we were very well taken care of. The staff responded to every request quickly and checked in frequently, yet didn’t intrude in our meeting. Everyone enjoyed their lunch, too! Overall, the Abel’s atmosphere provided for reflection and inspiration for the RFL staff, and I just wanted to say thanks!

Best,

Linda

Kari,
Just wanted to let you know that everything was perfect when we walked in for the rehearsal dinner. The centerpieces were beautiful and all the stuff I brought was arranged exactly as we discussed. The food was great and many people commented on that. The audio equipment was set up and ready to go and the slide show turned out great. The stuff that I left was packaged up and ready to go on Sunday when we came by on our way out of town so that worked out great too. All around, we were very pleased with your efforts and Abel’s.

Thanks again,

Tom and Kathy

Kari,

Thank you for providing such an excellent venue for our networking dinner, the consensus is to take it back to your place again next year.  I am working on a contract with the hotel and as soon as I pin the dates, I’ll see if we can work a deal for June 2012!  Thanks again, you were such a delight to work with.  Everybody had a fabulous time.

We’re no Yelp but those sound pretty solid to us. If you have yet to be out there, go enjoy the awesome weather we’re having here in Austin right now and the gorgeous lake view. Seriously, getting older is stressful enough. Doing it in your own private space will buy you at least another year on those crow’s feet.
