Schlotzsky’s is turning 40! Win Free Schlotzsky’s Meals for a Year!

In 1971, Don and Dolores Dissman opened a small shop opened on South Congress in Austin that was home to a single, one-of-a-kind sandwich, made with a unique combination of premium meats, cheeses, and marinated olives on fresh-baked sourdough bread.  The sandwich was simply called the Schlotzsky’s Original® , and people went nuts for it.  Quickly The Original developed a passionate customer following…and things started to take off for Don and Dolores.

40 years later, Schlotzsky’s is still serving the same delicious sandwich that made ’em famous (why mess with perfection?) Schlotzsky’s has grown from that single Austin sandwich shop to an international franchise with more than 350 locations in 35 states and five countries.  And their menu has progressed as well, including a variety of hot sandwiches, specialty pizzas, toasted wraps, fresh-tossed salads, gourmet soups, and more. In celebration of their 40th birthday, Schlotzsky’s wants to hook up a bunch of lucky Do512 users.  From now until Nov 30, they’ll be giving away 40 FREE COMBO MEALS!  And the kicker?  One lucky winner will WIN FREE SCHLOTZSKY’S FOR A YEAR! Yeah, you heard me.  Stomach growling yet?

How do you enter?  Simply tell us your favorite Schlotzsky’s Meal.  I for one, am a huge Schlotzsky’s fanatic.  I started eating at my neighborhood Schlotzsky’s circa 1982, and it was our go-to place for take out on football sundays.  My favorite meal is The Original on jalapeño cheese bread, with sour cream n’ onion chips, and a lemonadeevery bite doused with that delicious Schlotzsky’s hot sauce.  I’ve probably had that exact meal 1000 times since 1982, and it never gets old. In fact, I kinda want one right now.

Tell us how you like YOUR Schlotzsky’s for a chance to win Free Meals for a Year, or one of 40 Free Combo Meals! CLICK HERE TO ENTER (Contest Ends Nov. 30, 2011).
