Oktoberfest in Austin

Oktoberfest is one of the most famous events in Germany, with more than 5 million people attending every year. Texas has plenty of German history itself, and cities across the state have their own Oktoberfest celebrations each year. The lure of pub food, delicious seasonal beer, accordian music and lederhosen is just too strong to resist.

There are a few opportunities to celebrate Oktoberfest in Austin, with special events planned at the Black Sheep Lodge, the German Free School, North By Northwest Restaurant & Brewery, and more.

Events in the surrounding area include the Buda Beer & Polka Fest, Wurstfest in New Braunfels, and the big Oktoberfest celebration in Fredericksburg. Anyone who enjoys German food, drink and music will certainly want to make plans to attend one of these events.
